Allied Therapy Job Board

Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst

Description

A Role Where Your Expertise Is Valued.

Looking for a position where you can do impactful work, feel supported, and continue growing professionally?

At Allied Therapy, we’re building a team of clinicians who value meaningful collaboration, clinical autonomy, and evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming care. Whether you're newly certified or an experienced BCBA seeking a fresh environment, this is your opportunity to work in a flexible setting that respects both your expertise and your time.

Why Allied Therapy? We understand the questions many Behaviour Analysts are asking:

  • “Can I truly use my full skill set and clinical judgment in my role?”
  • “Will I receive the support I need to grow professionally?”
  • “Is it possible to find genuine, collaborative teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment?”

At Allied Therapy, you don’t have to choose between support and challenge. We’re a dynamic, innovative team committed to whole-person, family-centered care and we’re looking for a BCBA who wants to help shape the future of behaviour support in Nova Scotia.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Hybrid Flexibility – Design a caseload that balances clinic-based, community, home, and virtual service delivery.
  • Individualized, Evidence-Based Care – No preset programs so you can develop creative, functional behaviour support plans with the support of a collaborative team.
  • Ongoing Professional Development – Weekly learning sessions, peer mentorship, and structured opportunities to build confidence and refine your clinical practice.
  • Growth-Oriented Leadership – Be part of a stable, expanding organization with leadership committed to both client care and clinician well-being.
  • Supportive Team Culture – A multidisciplinary, respectful, and inclusive environment where your input is valued and your work makes a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBAs) using standardized tools and naturalistic observation.
  • Design and implement evidence-based, individualized behaviour intervention plans.
  • Deliver neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed ABA programming in diverse settings (clinic, home, school, virtual).
  • Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, BCBAs, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive, wraparound support.
  • Coach and train families, caregivers, and educational staff to extend support beyond sessions.
  • Maintain detailed and timely clinical documentation using JaneApp.
  • Participate in community education and outreach to support awareness and access to care.
  • Engage in weekly team meetings and professional development opportunities to support continued growth.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field and current certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals across a range of ages and support needs
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices, functional communication training, and family-centered approaches
  • Clear communication skills, strong clinical judgment, and a collaborative mindset
  • Familiarity with digital health tools (e.g., JaneApp) or willingness to learn
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and up-to-date Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry checks
  • Bonus: Fluency in French, Arabic, or Cantonese to support our diverse community

What Success Looks Like

  • You feel supported and confident applying your skills in a variety of settings
  • Clients and families report positive engagement and meaningful progress
  • Documentation and data are accurate, timely, and support sustainable clinical care
  • You contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment and feel connected to your colleagues

Thinking About Making a Change?

“I’m comfortable in my current role.” That’s valid but is your growth being supported? At Allied Therapy, you’ll be encouraged to refine your practice, explore interests, and build new skills.

“I’m concerned about losing my team support.” We’ve created a culture where connection, communication, and mentorship are intentional. You’ll never be expected to figure it out alone.
“Will there really be professional development?” Yes. Professional development is part of how we work, not just an occasional training. Weekly learning, mentorship, and case consultation are built into your schedule.

Ready to Apply? If you're looking for a position where your knowledge is respected, your growth is prioritized, and your work has real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
