Volunteer Job Description – Allied Therapy Clinic

Position Title: Clinic Volunteer
Location: Allied Therapy Clinic, Bedford, Nova Scotia
Reports to: Office Coordinator


About Allied Therapy: Allied Therapy is a multidisciplinary health clinic dedicated to providing personalized, accessible, and innovative care in Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Behaviour Therapy. Our mission is to support those with complex needs, such as autism, ADHD, feeding challenges, and behavioural concerns, and to empower families through comprehensive, compassionate services.


Volunteer Role Summary: Volunteers at Allied Therapy play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our clinic, enhancing client experiences, and assisting staff in delivering exceptional care. Volunteers contribute by offering administrative support, preparing resources, and assisting therapists with session preparations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing files, preparing therapy materials, and maintaining clinic cleanliness.
  • Support therapists by setting up or cleaning up treatment rooms and materials needed for therapy sessions.
  • Engage with children and families during group activities, summer camps, etc.
  • Provide support for community events and outreach programs as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm and passion for supporting children and families with complex healthcare needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude.
